Raise the Colors: The Privateer Coffee Co. Has Officially Set Sail
Share
Today I’m launching The Privateer Coffee Co.—a coffee-and-tea brand built for everyday drinkers who like their mornings with a little adventure. If you’ve ever wanted your first sip to feel less like “another Monday” and more like “new waters,” you’re in the right harbor.
There are plenty of mugs out there. Plenty of bags on shelves. Plenty of brands that take themselves a bit too seriously.
I wanted something different.
The Privateer Coffee Co. is for the folks who love coffee (and tea) but don’t need a lecture with their latte. It’s for the early risers, the late-night planners, the “just one more chapter” readers, and the people who want their routine to feel a little more like a voyage.
Why “Privateer?”
A privateer wasn’t just a pirate with better paperwork—they were bold, independent, and always chasing the next horizon.
That’s the energy I’m bringing to this brand:
- Curious enough to keep exploring
- Practical enough to keep it simple
- Brave enough to start before everything’s perfect
And yes—my love of pirate lore definitely played a part in naming this ship.
What’s in the hold (aka what we’re launching)
This launch is the start of our first run of products—made for coffee and tea drinkers across the US who want something they can enjoy daily.
Here’s what you can expect from the first drop:
- A straightforward, easy-to-love lineup (no mystery maps required)
- Flavor notes and descriptions that help you choose without overthinking it
- A brand that’s here to make your morning feel like a small escape
(If you’re reading this on launch day, the shop is live and ready.)
The Captain’s Log: what this blog will be
This isn’t going to be a corporate bulletin board.
The Captain’s Log is where I’ll share:
- Brewing tips that don’t require a chemistry degree
- Tea and coffee stories worth telling
- New releases, limited runs, and what’s coming next
If you’re the kind of person who enjoys a good cup and a good tale—welcome aboard.
